Deep. For future applicants about the profession of a rescuer

Oleg Solodkiy, Deputy Head of the Glubokoye District Department for Emergency Situations, met with students from educational institutions. He introduced future applicants to the rescuer profession in detail and spoke about studying at the University of Civil Protection of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus.

— Choosing a profession is an important step in everyone's life, and a profession is a kind of destiny. Saving a person is a noble, responsible, and complex path for those who, by the call of their heart, choose the profession of a rescuer, - Oleg Solodkiy began his speech with these words.

The main goal of the event was to popularize the rescuer profession and select candidates for admission to the University of Civil Protection of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus.

During the meeting with the students, the Deputy Head of the Glubokoye District Department for Emergency Situations spoke in detail about which educational institution can be obtained by a rescuer specialty, what conditions for training are created at the University of Civil Protection of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus, and dwelled on the admission conditions and rules.

A film about the University of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was shown to the schoolchildren, after watching which they were able to learn about the training and living conditions of the cadets.

At the end of the conversation, future graduates were invited to continue their service in the bodies and units for emergency situations after graduation. The meeting was warm and interesting.

 

Educational Institution of Civil Protection "University of Civil Protection of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus" (http://ucp.by) trains specialists in the specialties "Prevention and Elimination of Emergency Situations", "Fire and Industrial Safety":

 full-time form - training period - 4 years;

 part-time form - training period - 5 years.

Training is carried out on both a state-funded and a fee-paying basis.

The period for entrance examinations is July. Centralized testing certificates are provided in physics, mathematics, Russian or Belarusian languages. Professional selection by

physical fitness is assessed according to the following standards: 100-meter run; 1000-meter run; pull-ups on a horizontal bar.

Document processing for admission is carried out by the Glubokskoye District Emergency Situations Department (document submission period: January - February).

 

For university students:

 the quality of educational services provided is confirmed by domestic and foreign certificates of conformity;

 the material and technical equipment of the university is among the best in the republic;

 full state provision (accommodation, meals, uniforms, monetary allowance);

 opportunity for practical driving training (free of charge) with subsequent submission to the State Automobile Inspectorate for obtaining category "B";

 the obtained specialty is popular and in demand in the labor market;

 social package;

 guaranteed employment and provision of the first job;

 medical care;

 free travel to the place of holiday vacation twice a year within the territory of the Republic of Belarus.

 

For Ministry of Emergency Situations employees (university graduates):

 graduates are awarded the first special rank of "lieutenant of the internal service";

 pension is appointed after 20 years of service;

 free travel once a year within the territory of the Republic of Belarus to the place of holiday vacation and back.

 

 

For those who did not enroll in the University of Civil Protection, a good choice would be to enroll in the Polotsk State Chemical-Technological College for the specialty "Prevention and Elimination of Emergency Situations", with a full-time study period of 2 years and 7 months on a state-funded basis. The college accepts young men aged 17 to 28 with a certificate of general secondary education. Dormitory accommodation is provided to all in need.

College graduates receive the working profession of "rescuer-firefighter" and are employed in emergency response bodies and units in positions of enlisted and junior command staff. Upon graduation from college, graduates have the right to enroll in the University of Civil Protection for a shortened part-time study program (study period of 3 years).
