Due to the established dry weather conditions in the Glubokoe district, restrictions on forest access have been introduced. Considering this fact, employees of the Glubokoe Regional Department for Emergency Situations and the Glubokoe Experimental Forestry are conducting joint patrol activities.

Dry, warm weather creates fertile ground for fire outbreaks. It is enough to simply drop an unextinguished match or cigarette butt, and everything around will catch fire. In this regard, during the fire-hazardous period, a ban or restriction on forest access is imposed. Restrictive measures are in effect in the Glubokoe district. This measure is primarily aimed at ensuring the safety of the forest massif.

During this period, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are working in an enhanced mode. Considering the developing situation with fires in forests and peatlands, preventive patrol activities have been carried out in the Glubokoe district.

The main goal of the patrol activities is the prevention of forest fires and monitoring the population's compliance with the introduced regulations.

During the work, the effectiveness of photo and video recording equipment for fire detection was assessed, an analysis of fire prevention work in forests was conducted, its effectiveness was evaluated, the installation and integrity of barriers at forest entrances were checked, as well as the presence of information signs on them, and the condition of firebreaks was verified. Additionally, the presence of posters and visual agitation materials near forest areas was checked.

Work on preventing forest fires will continue. Preventive talks are being held with the population on preventing the burning of dry vegetation and standing grass.

What does a restriction on forest access mean?

With a restriction, it is permitted to enter the forest, but it is forbidden to drive mechanical vehicles into the forest massif. It is forbidden to light fires. It is not allowed to leave oily or impregnated materials with flammable liquids or combustible substances, as this can lead to ignition. Mass events, such as tourist rallies and collective camping trips, are also prohibited.
