Preventive work is one of the most effective ways to prevent fires and deaths from them.

The focus of the inspection commission's work is visiting the households of citizens who are in the "risk group". Houses and apartments inhabited by lonely and single elderly people, large families, and families in a socially dangerous situation are under special control. During the inspection of apartments and households, EMERCOM employees pay attention to the general condition of housing, the presence and operability of autonomous fire alarms, and the condition of heating equipment.

"My home is my castle," citizens note. "Of course, a person feels calm, protected, and comfortable at home, but only under one condition: if the home is safe," add EMERCOM employees.

When communicating with citizens, rescuers always provide recommendations for bringing their homes into a safe condition, recommend installing autonomous fire alarms, strictly observe fire safety rules in everyday life, and, of course, answer all pressing questions from citizens.
