No one will evade responsibility

It is necessary to soberly assess the danger that association with drugs poses to any person.

In the Republic of Belarus, criminal liability for illegal trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances or their precursors or analogues (hereinafter referred to as drugs) for their manufacture, processing, acquisition, storage, transportation, or mailing may arise from the age of 16, and for their trafficking for the purpose of sale or for the sale itself – from the age of 14.

Unfortunately, facts of illegal activities related to drug trafficking continue to occur in the territory of the Gluboksky district.

An example of this is the story of a resident of Novopolotsk who initially sowed plants of the Cannabis genus in the summer of 2022, subsequently planted seedlings near one of the villages of the Gluboksky district, and in September 2022 harvested the "crop", after which he illegally transported narcotic drugs by car and illegally possessed them, without thinking about the consequences of his actions.

However, such an act of illegal activity did not go unnoticed by law enforcement agencies.

The result of choosing such a life path for the "drug consumer" was ultimately 2 years of imprisonment with a suspended sentence of 1 year, imposed on him by the verdict of the Gluboksky District Court. The evidence collected and presented in court by the state prosecution did not allow him to escape responsibility and gave the court sufficient grounds for his conviction under Part 1 of Article 328 and Part 1 of Article 329 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus for illegal sowing and cultivation of plants containing psychotropic substances for the purpose of obtaining narcotic drugs, and illegal possession and transportation of narcotic drugs without the intent to sell.
