"Night of Museums" at the Glubokoye Historical and Ethnographic Museum

The Glubokoye Museum actively supports international trends and annually opens its doors in the evening, providing visitors with a unique opportunity to spend the evening in an atmosphere of art and creativity. This year, the institution marked its participation in the event for the 13th time.

– The main goal of such events is to attract public attention to the country's and region's cultural heritage and to interest young people in visiting museums. The «Night of Museums» event offers a wide range of entertainment, from interactive tours to art exhibitions, concerts, film screenings, and even culinary experiments, – says Elena Myadelets, Director of the Glubokoye Museum of History and Ethnography. – One of the main elements of this year's night for us was unusual performances and interactive forms of audience engagement.

In particular, museum staff organized a fun flash mob, staging a TV show with quiz and competition elements. Spectators also became participants in the beloved show «Field of Wonders,» playing a humorous version of the popular game.

The peculiarity of this year was the creative approach of the organizers: the museum offered the audience a whole complex of activities, including creating 19th-century letters, conducting a séance with fortune-telling, tasting rare varieties of herbal tea, and a creative drawing contest. All these activities allowed guests to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the era and feel a unique connection through time.

The event concluded with an engaging quest titled "Survival," during which participants vied for the title of connoisseurs of their native region's history. In the course of the competition, teams solved puzzles and demonstrated their knowledge of the architecture, daily life, and prominent figures of the Glubokoe district.

Summing up, it is worth noting the special significance of such events for preserving the memory of the past and strengthening public interest in safeguarding national heritage. Thanks to this event, residents and guests of Glubokoe were able to see that the museum offers much more than the usual viewing of exhibits.
