On the fight against corruption

Combating corruption is one of the most important priorities of the Belarusian state policy.

Currently, a balanced system for combating corruption has been formed in the country at all management levels and in various sectors of economic activity. This system is based on the national model of state development and complies with international standards. The effectiveness of the measures taken by the Republic of Belarus to counter corruption, and their adequacy in relation to the evolving situation, are also recognized by the international community.

The Law of the Republic of Belarus of March 6, 2023 No. 255-Z ratified the Agreement on Cooperation of the Commonwealth of Independent States Member States in Combating Corruption, signed in Astana on October 14, 2022.

Cooperation between states includes the following main areas and forms: providing assistance in cases of corruption offenses and violations, cooperating in the search, detention, and extradition of persons who have committed corruption offenses, ensuring legal protection and support for individuals and organizations involved in combating corruption, operational and information exchange in the field of combating corruption, development and implementation of strategies, programs, and cooperation plans in the field of combating corruption, exchange of experience in legal regulation in the field of combating corruption, and others.
