On the activities of rescue service veterans

Every year, the ranks of the Belarusian public association "Rescuer" are joined by more active members who, having retired, feel a great deal of strength and energy and cannot sit idly by. Such people, as a rule, have proven themselves excellently during their service and continue to work even on a voluntary basis.

Today, we will talk about the meeting with rescue service veteran Alexander Panfilko, who, having become a member of the veteran organization, takes an active part in its activities. Thus, as part of the interaction between the veteran organization and the Belarusian Republican Youth Union, a meeting of two generations took place at the Podsvil Secondary School in the Gluboksky District. During the meeting, the still young veteran spoke about the rescuer profession, how to become one, and how he went through his career path, having worked in both emergency response and prevention.

Listening to Alexander Alexandrovich's story, the children asked a huge number of questions, ranging from salary to the most difficult fires and rescues. Given that Alexander Panfilko worked as a state fire supervision inspector in the final part of his service, he also conducted the meeting with the children in an unusual and very engaging format, namely, carrying out fire prevention work at a facility familiar to them – the school building where the children study. The children really liked this format of the meeting, as they did not have to sit still and just listen to the story, but could understand firsthand what exactly an inspector does when visiting a facility.

At the end of the event, the children thanked Alexander Alexandrovich for the engaging story and the interesting "inspection."
