On certain issues of working with citizens' appeals

Over 12 months of 2021, the district prosecutor's office received 48 appeals from citizens, of which 28 were substantively reviewed directly by the prosecutor's office staff.

Over 12 months of 2021, the district prosecutor's office received 48 appeals from citizens, of which 28 were substantively reviewed directly by the prosecutor's office staff. Of the resolved appeals, 2 appeals were fully satisfied by the district prosecutor's office, and 4 appeals were partially satisfied. 16 appeals were forwarded to other agencies for resolution. 4 appeals were left without substantive review during the reporting period.

The majority of citizens' appeals resolved directly by the district prosecutor's office concerned issues of supervision during pre-trial proceedings: 11 of them related to the actions and decisions of inquiry bodies, and 6 related to the actions and decisions of investigative bodies. Of this category of appeals, 11 concerned disagreements with decisions to refuse the initiation of criminal cases by inquiry bodies. During the analyzed period, 2 appeals were fully satisfied, and another 4 appeals were partially satisfied. All satisfied appeals concerned disagreements with decisions to refuse the initiation of criminal cases by inquiry bodies.

Based on the results of the review of citizens' appeals in 2021, the district prosecutor's office issued 6 decisions to revoke procedural decisions made by inquiry bodies.

In addition to resolving written appeals from citizens, the district prosecutor's office staff received 69 individuals in personal appointments during the specified period, appeals from 5 citizens were received at their place of residence and work, and 9 were received at their place of detention.
