The New Year holidays and winter are a time of increased травматизм, and the cause is not only ice, the use of pyrotechnics, alcohol abuse, but also quite peaceful fun – sledding.
In recent years, inflatable sleds (tubes) have become increasingly popular, displacing wooden and plastic sleds from slopes and hills. Riding on "vatrushkas" does not require special skills, good physical shape, or preliminary training. Anyone can ride a vatrushka. In addition, special clothing is not required for tubing: any will do, as long as you are comfortable in it.
Tubing is a form of recreation that is equally suitable for adults and children. But, unfortunately, it is one of the most травмоопасных types of recreation. Unlike sleds, "vatrushkas" can develop high speeds and even spin around their axis during descent. This adds vivid sensations and adrenaline to the riders. At the same time, they are absolutely uncontrollable and not equipped with a braking device.
Soft round sleds seem completely harmless, and in pursuit of sensations, many climb higher, as a result, the braking distance increases. An adult flying at high speed without the ability to brake is like a car with failed brakes: they will either hit someone or crash themselves.
To make your vacation pleasant and tubing safe, you need to follow just a couple of simple rules:
ride only in a strictly designated place,
and before descending the hill, make sure there are no people in the way. Also, do not attach tubes to each other in a "train", they can tip over. It is dangerous to sit on a tube in pairs, you can fly out of it. However, adults often take children with them, which leads to serious childhood injuries.
Do not overload the tube. The maximum weight is indicated in the specifications of each model.
the weight limit for it.Riding should be done in a seated position. During the ride itself, it is recommended to hold onto the special straps located on the sides of the tubing.
To avoid injuries, do not brake with your feet during the descent.
Do not tie inflatable sleds to vehicles, and do not ride tubing while intoxicated.
To avoid collision with descending tubing, ascend the hill at a safe distance from the descent path.
These are mandatory conditions to ensure that your recreation does not end up in the hospital.
