Over 12 months of 2018, 35 fires occurred in the Gluboksky district, which is 4 less than in the 12 months of 2017. At the same time, 2 people died in fires in 2018 (3 in 2017).

The largest number of fires was registered in the past year in the city of Glubokoe (7). The smallest number of fires (1 each) occurred in the Lomashyevsky, Obrubsky, Prozoroksky, and Psuevsky rural executive committees. In the Ozeretsky rural executive committee, no fires were registered in 2018.

32 fires occurred in facilities owned by individuals, and another 3 cases occurred in facilities of agricultural enterprises in the district. Most often in the past year, fires occurred in residential buildings and apartments (17), as well as in outbuildings (10).

The main causes of fires were:

careless handling of fire - 10

violation of electrical equipment operating rules - 6

violation of stove heating operating rules - 8

violation of gas equipment usage rules - 1

other - 10.

As for the fires that resulted in the death of 2 people, their main causes were the personal carelessness of the deceased themselves. In addition, it should be noted that in all cases, the deceased persons were intoxicated.

Inspections conducted by the district prosecutor's office in 2018 established that the prevention entities of the Gluboksky district carried out significant fire prevention work.

At the same time, a high fire hazard remains in the district associated with the use of faulty stove heating and electric heaters by citizens. The prevailing weather conditions (predicted increase in frost), disregard for personal safety measures exacerbate the problem of ensuring the daily safety of the population.

In light of the foregoing, the Glubokoe District Prosecutor's Office asks residents of the district to once again pay attention to the need to comply with fire safety regulations.
