On the prevention of injuries among minors

Through the joint efforts of the prevention entities of the Gluboksky district, parents, and other interested parties, in 2021-2022, it was possible to prevent child fatalities from external causes in the region.

However, the positive trend in this area should not lead to a decrease in the effectiveness of the authorized entities' activities in this direction, nor to a decrease in the vigilance of parents and other interested parties regarding the behavior of minors, as during the specified period, there were cases of children being injured as a result of road traffic accidents, falls from windows, and children's pranks during play.

The district prosecutor's office identified instances of uncontrolled behavior of children and their visits to abandoned buildings, quarries, and the burning of dry vegetation.

In this regard, I draw the attention of all responsible persons in the district's utility services and heads of economic entities in the region to the need for constant measures to identify uncovered storm drains, sewage wells, and other potentially dangerous objects in the settlements of the Gluboksky district, and to take exhaustive measures to bring them into a safe condition for people.

It should be noted that for objective reasons, during school holidays, cases of injuries to minors from external causes significantly increase. In connection with the ongoing autumn holidays, the Gluboksky District Prosecutor's Office appeals to the residents of the district, and primarily to parents, with a request to take additional measures to ensure children's safety. It is deemed necessary for parents to re-explain to their children the rules of safe behavior and to strengthen control over their compliance by minors. It is also unacceptable to leave children unsupervised near water bodies and other potentially dangerous objects.
