On conducting raid activities at facilities selling fire safety and fire extinguishing means

The Glubokoye District Department for Emergency Situations reminds that EAEU TR 043/2017 establishes mandatory requirements for fire safety and fire extinguishing means (hereinafter referred to as products) for application and enforcement in the territories of the Eurasian Economic Union member states, including the Republic of Belarus, as well as marking requirements for these means to ensure their free movement within the territories of these states.

In the first half of 2023, employees of the supervision and prevention sector of the Glubokoye District Department for Emergency Situations conducted raid activities at potential points of sale of fire safety and fire extinguishing means, which are subject to the Technical Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Union "On Requirements for Fire Safety and Fire Extinguishing Means" (EAEU TR 043/2017) (hereinafter referred to as EAEU TR 043/2017). These activities were carried out at the following facilities: the construction store "Lider", ChTUP "Lagenar", the construction store "Lyuks" of ChTUP "Market Produkt", and the Glubokoye branch of UP "Vitebsk Enterprise of Fire Protection Works" RGOO "BDPO". During the raid activities, fire extinguishers, autonomous fire detectors, and fire-retardant compounds sold at these facilities were inspected. No violations were identified during the activities.

According to paragraph 88 of EAEU TR 043/2017, products must be marked with information including the name, type, brand, model, purpose, main technical parameters and characteristics, trademark, and/or name.

Such marking must be applied in Russian and/or Belarusian. If it is impossible to apply the marking directly to the product, then the marking must be applied to the packaging and included in the technical documentation (passport, operating manual, etc.) supplied with the product.

Products specified in the annex to TR EAEU 043/2017 are subject to mandatory conformity assessment with the requirements of this regulation
in the form of certification or declaration (the forms of conformity assessment are also indicated in the annex to TR EAEU 043/2017). 

The buyer has the right to request all the above-mentioned documents from the seller.
