The results of the analysis of the criminogenic situation in the Gluboksky district indicate that the executive and representative authorities, law enforcement agencies, and public associations pay constant attention to issues of public order protection and crime prevention.

As a result of the organizational and practical measures taken in 2023, a stable operational situation is observed in the district as a whole.

At the same time, there were a number of negative trends in the criminogenic situation in the district in 2023, which require immediate additional organizational and practical measures from prevention entities to rectify the situation.

In particular, according to the results of 11 months of 2023, a sharp increase in the number of crimes registered in the Gluboksky district committed using the Internet, computer systems, social networks, and messengers was noted.

Crimes provided for by Art. 212 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus (Property theft by modifying computer information) prevail in the district. In addition, the number of registered frauds committed using computer systems and social networks has increased.

Taking into account the above, on December 26, 2023, at the initiative of the district prosecutor's office, issues of improving the effectiveness of crime prevention entities in preventing high-tech crimes, as well as other crimes committed using computer systems and the Internet, were considered at a meeting of the coordination council for combating crime and corruption in the Gluboksky district.

Specific instructions were given to the district prevention entities at the meeting, the implementation of which will contribute to the prevention of crimes of the above-mentioned category.
