About the life of a young veteran

April 17 is the Day of Honoring Veterans of the Emergency Situations Bodies and Subdivisions of the Republic of Belarus. On this day, it is customary to recall the service and combat path, fraught with anxieties and dangers, of rescuer-firefighters who have passed it with honor and dignity, demonstrating professionalism, selflessness, resilience, and courage, and who are now retired.

Today's story is about a person whose experience and advice continue to help young specialists in their roles as inspection and prevention officers, as all three inspectors are lieutenants who have not worked in their new positions for more than two years. They are assisted by retired Major of the Internal Service, Alexander Alexandrovich Panfilko, who retired from the position of Senior Inspector of Supervision and Prevention.

Alexander Alexandrovich himself joined the service in January 1998, at that time in the militarized fire service department of the main department of the militarized fire service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus. His first position was related to fire suppression, and after obtaining a higher education in construction, the young man was appointed head of the guard of the militarized fire department of the urban-type settlement Podsvilye, Gluboksky district, where he would work for more than 10 years. During this period, Alexander Alexandrovich entered the Gomel Engineering Institute, which he graduated from in 2011, and also received the most prestigious rank – Captain of the Internal Service.

After extinguishing fires and eliminating emergency situations, Alexander Panfilko moved into a new area of rescuer work for himself, namely prevention, where he subsequently completed his service, having dedicated a total of his efforts to the prevention and elimination of fires and emergency situations.

In any position, Alexander Alexandrovich proved himself to be a competent, disciplined, and responsible employee who could be relied upon in any situation. One of the most important qualities of this distinguished veteran of the emergency services is that he always remained, first and foremost, an understanding person who never refused help. Thanks to this, he has a large number of friends, both within the department's team and throughout the district.

His achievements also include the medal "For Impeccable Service" of the III degree, certificates from the institution "Vitebsk Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations," certificates from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and commendations from the Glubokoye District Executive Committee.

Currently, the young veteran of the emergency services continues to provide consultative assistance to the inspectorate staff, serving as a role model and an example of how to approach the performance of official duties.

What else can be said about Alexander Alexandrovich? He is a wonderful family man and has raised two excellent sons. One of them is completing his higher education and preparing to join the internal troops. The second son wishes to follow in his father's footsteps and, graduating from school this year, is preparing to enter the University of Civil Protection of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus.

The hero of our article, in addition to assisting the young inspectorate staff, is currently preparing to engage in patriotic education of the younger generation at one of the district's secondary schools.

In conclusion, we would like to congratulate all veterans of the emergency services on the Day of Honoring Veterans of the Rescue Service, wish them good health, and encourage them to remain united with the younger generation, serving as an example for them.
