Reporting and Election Conference of the Glubokoye District Organization of the Belarusian Public Association of Veterans.

The Chairman of the Glubokoye District Council of Veterans, Vitaly Shipko, delivered a report on the work done during the period from June 1, 2024.

Vitaly Nikolaevich informed that as of today, 25 primary veteran organizations with a total number of 4,246 people are registered in the district. And this is a whole army of literate, experienced, purposeful, responsible people with an active life position, with whom one can conquer sports peaks, ascend the creative Parnassus, and be an organized force capable of solving important state tasks.

Vitaliy Nikolaevich spoke about how issues of ensuring comfortable living and everyday conditions for war and labor veterans were being resolved, about the development of cultural and mass events, and the organization of useful leisure activities for the elderly. He talked about the events that were prepared and held within the framework of the National Strategy "Active Longevity," about close cooperation with public associations and organizations of the district, and state services. He listed patriotic, charitable, cultural and educational, and health-improving events and campaigns aimed at preserving historical memory, fostering civic responsibility in the younger generation, promoting a healthy lifestyle, unlocking the talents and abilities of veterans, and strengthening intergenerational ties. He emphasized the implementation of social projects in conjunction with the department of labor, employment, and social protection of the district executive committee, the territorial center for social services, the culture sector, the district organization of the Belarusian Red Cross, the district committee of the BRSM, and the poetry studio "Meetings for the Soul" of the district library. He noted that care, attention to people, and congratulations on significant and юбилей dates are necessary and important attributes of daily work and life.

The work of the district council of veterans was assessed as satisfactory in the speeches by the chairman of the audit commission Gennady Shulga, the chairman of the district organization "Belarusian Union of Veterans of the War in Afghanistan" Anton Zhdanovich, and the chairmen of the primary veteran organizations of the Glubokoe Electric Networks branch Anna Kubarko, the education department – Zoya Sadovskaya, and state institution employees – Anna Tatarina.

The attendees unanimously supported the election of Vitaliy Shipko as the chairman of the district council of veterans for another term. Anatoly Pochepko was re-elected as his deputy, and Elena Goryun as the executive secretary.

The Deputy Chairman of the District Executive Committee, Tatyana Tarasevich, and the Chairman of the District Council of Deputies, Vera Telitsa, thanked the former chairman of the district veterans' council, Vladimir Rozvadovsky, and the current head, Vitaly Shipko, for their work.

Vera Mikhailovna noted that veterans are the golden reserve of Glubokoe region, they are young hearts combined with experience and life wisdom, they are teachers, excellent advisors, pioneers in all good deeds. Vera Mikhailovna wished everyone health, energy, and new interesting initiatives for the benefit of civil society.

Delegates from the Glubokoe District Veterans' Organization to the regional conference were elected at the conference. Among them are Vitaly Shipko, Viktor Vasyukovich, and Elena Goryun.

The conference concluded with an awards ceremony. The most active members of the district veterans' organizations were recognized: Anatoly Pochepko, Tamara Kolontai, Valentina Savitskaya, Vladimir Rozvadovsky, Gennady Shulga, Anna Kubarko, Zoya Sadovskaya, Tadeusz Belsky, Vasily Klevchenya, Zhanna Yurkevich. Vitaly Shipko presented letters of gratitude from the district veterans' council to the head of the culture sector of the district executive committee, Tatyana Matyushonok, and the head of the sports sector of the district executive committee, Tatyana Zevalich.
