Sitting around a campfire creates an atmosphere of coziness even far from civilization. But often, making fires is prohibited by law in many places. Therefore, when you arrive in a territory where you want to make a fire, you must remember the fire safety rules.

Cooking kebabs is a traditional and favorite activity for many summer residents, and since all this is done directly near the house, people simply do not think about the consequences and the fact that the house is wooden. Sparks fanned by the wind can fly a long distance, then smoldering begins, which takes 30 to 40 minutes. During this time, kebab lovers are already busy celebrating and often discover the fire too late.

Remember that when placing special devices – a brazier, barbecue, or grill – the following requirements must be met:

- use special devices for cooking, fires should be made under the condition of ensuring continuous control over the burning and smoldering process;

- places for making fires must be cleared of combustible substances and materials, dry vegetation, and equipped with extinguishing agents;

- the burning and smoldering process must be carried out in such a way that flames and sparks do not fall on combustible elements of buildings, utility structures and constructions, on stored combustible substances and materials;

- upon completion of the burning process, the remnants of burning (smoldering) materials must be extinguished until smoldering completely stops;

- making fires on peat soils, under tree crowns is not allowed;

- the use of flammable and combustible liquids (except for liquids specifically designed for ignition) for igniting fires and coals is not allowed.

By the way, it is better to grill kebabs on a brazier, then the fire will not spread to nearby vegetation and

foliage. However, if such an opportunity is not available, the area designated for the campfire must be dug down to the mineral soil layer.

It is forbidden to light fires in young coniferous forests, near trees, in logging areas, in areas cluttered with windfalls, on peatlands, and in areas with dry grass and moss, and in forest plantations. Campfires are only permitted in strictly designated areas. When leaving the recreation area, the campfire must be extinguished until smoldering completely ceases.

When going to relax in nature, it is necessary to act with caution and strictly adhere to simple safety rules in order not to harm yourself and the nature around us.
