The Parliamentary Assembly adopted the Union State budget for 2026

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia approved the Union State budget for 2026 in two readings at once. This decision was made on December 9 in Moscow at a session of the Parliamentary Assembly, a BELTA correspondent reports. Presenting the budget for approval, State Secretary of the Union State Sergey Glazyev announced its key parameters: revenues - 8 billion 65.9 million Russian rubles, expenditures - 6 billion 308.3 million, surplus - 1 billion 757.6 million. The revenue part was formed by annual agreed deductions from the states participating in the Treaty on the Creation of the Union State, as well as balances of budget funds from previous years, which amounted to 645.7 million Russian rubles.

In the structure of the budget expenditures, 71% of expenditures are provided for financing programs, projects and events of the Union State - 4.5 billion Russian rubles. Financing of six approved Union State programs in the field of space technology, border security, information resources protection, etc. is planned. The budget of the Union State for 2026, adopted by the Parliamentary Assembly, must be approved by the Supreme State Council of the Union State.
