Patriotic cycling parade «Symbols of my country»
The Patriotic bike parade “Symbols of my country,” dedicated to the Day of the State Flag, State Emblem, and State Anthem, took place today in Glubokoye.
Its participants, numbering 85 people – adults and children, young workers and sports veterans, married couples and families with children, representatives of various enterprises and organizations, schools and the district gymnasium, the deputy corps, public organizations and parties – were welcomed by Tatyana Tarasevich, Deputy Chairperson of the Glubokoye District Executive Committee.
“National symbols were born in the struggle for the happiness of our people. In the struggle for the opportunity to have independence. They embody our memory, our Belarusian traditions. We honor our symbols, we are proud of them and our country. We proudly say ‘We are Belarusians!’” said Tatyana Tarasevich, Deputy Chairperson of the Glubokoye District Executive Committee, welcoming the participants of the “Symbols of my country” bike parade.
Dmitry Zhdanovich, Head of the inter-district registration and examination department of the traffic police department of the Glubokoye District Department of Internal Affairs, congratulated the participants of the bike parade on the national holiday and reminded them of the need to comply with safety rules and traffic regulations during the bike parade.
The start of the “Symbols of my country” bike parade was given at the city stadium.
The route passed through Sovetskaya and Volnaya streets, Krupkaya street, past churches and the museum, through the city center to Minskaya street, then – past the “Brigantina” playground, across September 17 Square and to the stadium, where the participants completed several laps.
The concluding chord of the “Symbols of my country” bike parade was the solemn awarding of participant certificates.
The awards ceremony was held in 25 nominations. Vera Telitsa, Chairperson of the Glubokoye District Council of Deputies, who presented awards to the participants, then received an award herself in the "Flagship of Patriotism" nomination. It was presented by Lyudmila Karnilovich, Head of the Department of Ideological Work and Youth Affairs of the Glubokoye District Executive Committee.
Vera Telitsa, Chairperson of the Glubokoye District Council of Deputies:
– The State Flag, the State Emblem, and the State Anthem of the Republic of Belarus are symbols of our memory. They reflect the historical, spiritual, and moral characteristics of the Belarusian nation, uniting the heroic past, present, and future of our country. May our flag, emblem, and anthem always illuminate the most important events of our lives, filling our hearts with a sense of patriotism, and serve as a source of pride and faith in the better future of our country.
The bike parade, organized by specialists from the Department of Ideological Work and Youth Affairs of the District Executive Committee, was held for the third time this year.
Every year, it brings together more and more participants who lead a healthy lifestyle, have an active civic stance, and celebrate significant dates together with their country.
Despite the rather cool day, the participants received a boost of energy and good spirits. They also tested their endurance and sense of collectivism.
