Following the inspection

The Constitution of the Republic of Belarus guarantees citizens the right to health protection. Healthcare is an important component of the national security of the state. In accordance with Article 4 of the Law of the Republic of Belarus "On Healthcare," citizens of the Republic of Belarus have the right to accessible medical care, which is provided by healthcare institutions.

During 2022-2023, the district prosecutor's office paid special attention to the quality and timeliness of medical care provided by the healthcare institution "Glubokoye District Central Hospital," including in rural areas (hereinafter referred to as HI "Glubokoye CRH").

In November of the current year, the prosecutor's office conducted an inspection to monitor the measures taken by HI "Glubokoye CRH" to eliminate previously identified violations of healthcare legislation.

The results of the inspection indicate that, overall, medical care is provided to the residents of the district at a sufficient level. However, isolated violations of legislation have been identified that require the adoption of additional measures to improve its quality, accessibility, and drug supply to the population, especially in rural areas.

For example, during the inspection, violations of sanitary norms and rules were found in some departments of HI "Glubokoye CRH" and Podsvilye District Hospital. The accessibility of medicines in rural areas was not properly organized (for instance, the mobile FAP lacked medicines included in the minimum list of medicines mandatory for state healthcare organizations or their structural units located in rural settlements without pharmacies, for retail sale). Violations of legislation on citizens' and legal entities' appeals were also identified.

Based on the results of the inspection, the district prosecutor issued a relevant representation to the chief physician of HI "Glubokoye CRH."
