The building of Fire and Rescue Unit No. 1 of the Glubokoye Regional Emergency Situations Department has been reopened after major repairs.

Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin, Presidential Aide-Inspector for the Vitebsk Region Vladimir Yurgevich, Minister for Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus Vadim Sinyavsky, and Chairman of the Glubokoye District Executive Committee Alexander Shubsky opened the building of Fire and Rescue Station No. 1 of the Glubokoye District Emergency Rescue Department after major repairs.

After large-scale reconstruction, the renovated fire station building has opened its doors.

– It is gratifying to see how MES facilities are getting a second life. I am glad that the service is developing, and we can be confident in our safety, – noted Alexander Subbotin, Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, in his welcoming speech.

Minister for Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus Vadim Sinyavsky emphasized the importance of strengthening regional MES units for the effective operation of the entire system.

He also held an award ceremony, recognizing the merits of the best employees of the Glubokoye Emergency Rescue Department. Head of the Emergency Rescue Department Vasily Zavatsky was awarded the MES badge "For Merit" for his significant contribution to the development of activities for the protection of the population and territories of the Vitebsk region.

In addition, the head of the department handed over a certificate for a new fire tanker based on a MAZ-ATs-08 chassis to the head of the Emergency Rescue Department.

Chairman of the Glubokoye District Executive Committee Alexander Shubsky noted that the renovated fire and rescue station will become a reliable shield of safety for tens of thousands of people. More than four and a half million rubles were spent on reconstruction, which, according to him, were invested in the safety and well-being of the residents of Glubochchina.

The symbolic key to the new building was accepted by the Head of the Glubokoye Emergency Rescue Department Vasily Zavatsky from the Director of Glubokoye PMK-48 Yuri Kostyuk.

Following the solemn opening ceremony of Fire Rescue Station No. 1 of the Glubokoye District Department for Emergency Situations, honored guests were familiarized with the material and technical base of the renovated station.

The main focus during the capital repair of the building was on improving the service conditions for personnel. In this regard, the building includes a facility for washing, drying, and storing fire hoses, a facility for washing, drying, and storing rescuers' protective gear, a gym, a mess hall for personnel, and a psychological relaxation and recreation room for personnel.
