Belarus's position in the global corruption ranking

Currently, a balanced system for combating corruption has been established in our country at all management levels and in various sectors of economic activity. The effectiveness of the measures taken by the Republic of Belarus to counter corruption, and their adequacy in relation to the developing situation, are also recognized by the international community.

For example, the international non-governmental organization Transparency International, dedicated to combating corruption and researching corruption levels worldwide, has presented the Corruption Perceptions Index for 2021. Belarus ranked 82nd out of 180 countries.

Our closest neighbor, the Russian Federation, turned out to be more corrupt than Belarus, ranking 136th in the index.

Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan occupy the last places among the countries of Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
