Each appliance must be operated in accordance with the instructions. Preventive inspection and repair should be carried out by a qualified electrician. It is not recommended to connect several high-power electrical appliances to the mains simultaneously.

If household appliances catch fire, the house should be de-energized or electrical appliances should be unplugged from the socket if it is safe to do so.

If a burning electrical appliance is still under electrical voltage, a small fire can be extinguished by covering the burning area with soil from a flower pot, laundry detergent, or baking soda. These substances will cut off air access, and thus oxygen, to the burning area, extinguishing the fire.
