A preventive event was held in the Vitebsk region
The purpose of the event is to remind vulnerable road users of the most basic and elementary rules of safe behavior on the road, as well as to explain the traffic rules to the most unprotected road users – children.
In the current year, 4 road traffic accidents involving minors have occurred in the Vitebsk region, in which 2 child pedestrians and 3 minor passengers were injured.
State traffic inspectors have intensified control at pedestrian crossings to identify drivers who have not given way to pedestrians, both during the day and in the evening. Raid measures were also carried out to suppress violations of traffic rules by pedestrians.
Special attention is paid to the practical training of schoolchildren's safe behavior on the "Home - School - Home" route.
It is important for parents to repeat with children the correct algorithm of actions when crossing the road.
