Traffic Accident Warning!

From June 29 to June 30, 2022, a preventive event aimed at preventing road traffic accidents involving vulnerable road users will be held in the city of Glubokoye and the Glubokoye district.

In January-May 2022, 41 road traffic accidents involving vulnerable road users were registered in the Vitebsk region. Since the beginning of the year, no road traffic accidents involving pedestrians have occurred in the Glubokoye district.

Due to the onset of sunny days, the probability of hitting pedestrians, cyclists, and horse-drawn vehicle drivers has increased. In this regard, the Senior Traffic Police Inspector of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Glubokoye District Executive Committee once again reminds about the strict observance of traffic rules, about crossing the roadway only in permitted places, and only at a permissive traffic signal. Cyclists must ride bicycles equipped in accordance with traffic rules, and only on sidewalks or bike paths, if available.

Dear Citizens! If you detect a cyclist, horse-drawn vehicle driver, or pedestrian moving along the road, who has not identified themselves in accordance with traffic rules, who is in a state of alcoholic intoxication, or whose behavior creates prerequisites for a road traffic accident, as well as the detection of obstacles or dangers to road traffic – report the location of this road user by calling "102", in order to ensure their timely removal from the roadway by law enforcement officers and to take measures to eliminate the danger.
