In 2022, 58 road traffic accidents involving pedestrians were registered in the Vitebsk region, in which 13 people died and 45 were injured. Since the beginning of the year, 1 road traffic accident involving a pedestrian has occurred in the Glubokoye district.
We would like to remind you once again about the strict observance of traffic rules, about crossing the roadway only in permitted places, and only at a green traffic light signal. In the dark, the mandatory use of reflective elements is required. Cyclists must ride bicycles equipped in accordance with traffic rules, and only on sidewalks or bike paths, if available.
Electric scooters, hoverboards, segways, and other personal mobility devices also belong to the category of vulnerable road users, and the same rules apply to them.
