WARNING: ROAD ACCIDENT INVOLVING MOTORIZED TRANSPORT

The traffic police department of the internal affairs department of the Glubokoye District Executive Committee will hold a preventive event on April 21, 2022, to prevent road accidents involving motorized vehicles.

Traffic police officers remind that annually in April-May, the problem of injuries to road users due to the fault of drivers of two-wheeled motor vehicles becomes more acute. In January-March 2022, 3 road accidents (hereinafter referred to as RAs) involving motorized vehicles occurred on the territory of the Republic of Belarus, in which 3 people were injured, including one RA that occurred in the Vitebsk region.

We would like to remind you that it is necessary to ride a motorcycle wearing a helmet and not to carry passengers without one, and to drive with the low beam headlights constantly on. Timely registration of vehicles and their state technical inspection is mandatory. It is also unacceptable to drive a motorcycle without a driver's license, or while intoxicated.
When driving a two-wheeled vehicle, you must always assess the road situation and take all necessary actions to ensure safety: do not exceed the established speed and avoid reckless, risky entry into the oncoming lane. After all, it is precisely in such situations that collisions with the most severe consequences occur. The severity of the consequences of such RAs is largely influenced by the lack of driving skills or driving a motorized vehicle while intoxicated, elementary disregard for the rules and non-compliance with the requirements for drivers and passengers to wear motorcycle helmets while driving, as well as carrying passengers in excess of the number provided for by the technical specifications.
