District-scale project: A small enterprise in Lelchitsy ranked among the top five regional exporters

Under the initiative of the President "One District – One Project," a young construction company in the urban settlement of Lelchitsy opened a sawmill with 20 jobs. Last year, it earned over $400,000 from the supply of boards and timber abroad, accounting for 12.5% of the region's exports.
BELTA correspondents traveled to an urban settlement in the Gomel region and visited the woodworking shop of OOO "LelStroyGarant." They met with the head of the department, a mother of many children, who seamlessly combines work and maternity leave. They also learned why some employees of the local PMK-103 always take their passports with them when going to work, and visited a rural town where 224 out of 354 children are raised in large families – that's two out of three.
