Preventive measure regarding passenger transportation in irregular services by passenger cars (taxis)

The Traffic Police Department of the Internal Affairs Department of the Glubokoe District Department of Internal Affairs, with the involvement of the Transport Inspectorate of the Ministry of Transport, will conduct preventive measures regarding passenger transportation in irregular services by passenger cars (taxis) from November 26 to December 06, 2024.

The purpose of the inspection is to improve road traffic safety, prevent accidents and reduce the severity of their consequences, as well as to reduce the number of violations by taxi drivers.

Despite the measures taken, the situation with ensuring road traffic safety during passenger transportation continues to be complex. Numerous traffic rule violations are characteristic of drivers of the specified category of vehicles. The main violations include: transporting passengers exceeding the number of seats, speeding, non-compliance with road signs and markings, and violating the rules for vehicle placement on the roadway.

Traffic Police officers will daily monitor taxi drivers' compliance with traffic rules. Special attention will be paid to preventing violations such as drunk driving or driving without a license, speeding, driving into oncoming lanes, and failing to yield to pedestrians at crosswalks. They will also check the serviceability of vehicles, the availability of permits for participation in road traffic, and compliance with safe passenger transportation conditions (use of seat belts, matching the number of passengers to the number of seats, etc.).
