Preventive event «House without fire»

“House without fire” – under this name, from May 18 to May 24, a special preventive event of the Ministry of Emergency Situations will be held in the Glubokoye district.

The purpose of the event is to reduce the risks of fires in residential buildings and deaths from them. Ministry of Emergency Situations employees will inspect the fire safety of both residential buildings and outbuildings: bathhouses, garages, sheds, and will talk about the consequences of non-compliance with fire safety rules. Specialists will also remind about the inadmissibility of leaving young children unattended, the dangers of smoking, and the need to install autonomous fire alarms in living rooms.
The focus of the work will be on households and apartments of citizens most at risk of fires.
For reference: As of May 13, 2026, there were 438 fires in the Vitebsk region, resulting in 46 deaths. In the Glubokoye district, there were 21 fires, with 5 deaths.
The main causes of fires remain: careless handling of fire, violation of the rules for operating stoves, heat-generating devices, violation of the rules for operating electrical networks and electrical equipment.
Reaching everyone and explaining the importance of observing fire safety rules are the fundamental tasks of the planned event.
