A special comprehensive event «Attention – Age!» is being held

Dear citizens!

The Department of Law and Order Enforcement and Prevention of the Glubokoye District Department of Internal Affairs informs you about the special comprehensive event “Attention – Age!” being held in the district.

The purpose of the campaign is to prevent crimes and offenses against elderly citizens living in the city of Glubokoye and the Glubokoye district. The events will be held from March 26 to March 30, 2025. During these days, the police, together with other prevention entities, will visit the maximum number of lonely and single elderly citizens at their place of residence. Elderly citizens living with individuals leading an antisocial lifestyle will be visited at their place of residence as a mandatory measure to apply preventive impact.

According to the results of the first 2 months of 2025, 4 crimes were committed against elderly people in the Glubokoye district: 2 property thefts by modifying computer information, and 2 property thefts.

For preventive purposes, the Glubokoye District Department of Internal Affairs recommends:

- Keep large sums of money in banks, and exclude the possibility of money and other valuables being discovered by unauthorized persons during a cursory inspection of an apartment or private house;

- Secure your home and outbuildings by installing locking devices on the doors;

- Do not hand over bank plastic cards to other persons for cash withdrawal operations;

- do not open the door to your apartment (private house) to strangers, including those who claim to be employees of various social (utility) services. In any case, do not be ashamed to ask visitors to present their documents. Moreover, even after presenting documents, do not rush to open the door to strangers. It would be advisable to call your neighbors, call the relevant institutions, inquire whether they sent their employee, what his last name is, or report the visitors to the police by calling "102".

If you are called by scammers – hang up the phone. You will not be able to outsmart them. They have much more experience. They practice every day. 90% of their interlocutors are potential victims on whom their techniques are honed. Just hang up the phone.
