President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko convened a meeting with the leadership of the Council of Ministers, BelTA correspondent reports.
The agenda includes issues such as resolving the insolvency of organizations and the activities of anti-crisis managers, as well as additional measures to protect employees from non-payment of wages.
Discussing the issue of resolving the insolvency of organizations, Alexander Lukashenko recalled that two years ago a new law was adopted in this area, which was considered several times at the presidential level. "We have changed the approaches to procedures, shifting the emphasis from bankruptcy to recovery and preservation of enterprises and, consequently, jobs. Report on how the innovations of that law have affected the reduction of losses in the economy," said the Belarusian leader. "Are there any bottlenecks identified in practice that should be eliminated to further prevent bankruptcy?"
