Republican action of the Ministry of Emergency Situations "Safe New Year!"

On December 12, the republican campaign «Safe New Year!» will start in the Glubokoye district, aimed at reminding about the need to comply with safety rules during the winter period, and preventing fires and accidents due to the use of pyrotechnic devices.

On December 12, the republican campaign «Safe New Year!» will start in the Glubokoye district, aimed at reminding about the need to comply with safety rules during the winter period, and preventing fires and accidents due to the use of pyrotechnic devices.

To ensure that there are as few fires and accidents as possible during the Christmas and New Year holidays, rescuers will conduct the «Safe New Year!» campaign from December 12 to December 30.

The campaign will be held in 3 stages. The first stage starts on December 12 and will last until December 16. It will be conducted with elderly people on the basis of territorial centers for social services of the population, homes for veterans and disabled people, as well as sanatoriums where this category of population rests.

From December 19 to December 23, during the second stage, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations will conduct events with schoolchildren on the basis of general education institutions, extracurricular work institutions, boarding schools, with parents and their children in families where children are in a socially dangerous situation, in orphanages and family-type homes.

The final stage will begin just before the New Year, from December 26 to December 30. It will take place at the points of sale of pyrotechnic devices, children's healthcare facilities, ice rinks, and places with mass gatherings of people.

Competitions, entertainment programs, lectures, screenings of films and videos on life safety, and much more are planned as part of the campaign.

Not only employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, but also activists of the Belarusian Youth Public Organization of Rescuers-Firefighters, as well as students and employees of other interested volunteer organizations, cultural institutions, etc., will take part in the events.
