A mother is the closest, dearest, most precious person to each of us. A mother gave birth, nursed, protected us as best she could... and we grew up. It's time for us to support, help, and protect our parents, what else can we do? But sometimes it happens differently, and our district is no exception.

A 35-year-old resident of Glubokoye, who had been unemployed recently, developed a drinking problem. He had not started his own family and lived with his mother. He decided he had the right to "raise" his mother, dictating how she should live, whom she should meet, and whom she should not. To enforce his words, he began to use physical force, or simply put, beat his mother. This year, while intoxicated, he beat his mother three times, hitting her with his hands on the head and chest.

The mother had no other option but to report him to the police.

According to current legislation, various types of punishment are provided for such unlawful behavior, including imprisonment for up to five years.

Another resident of Glubokoye has been brought to criminal responsibility for systematically beating his mother from August of last year to February of this year. The reason is the same – alcohol abuse, unwillingness to work. In this case, the victim turned 78 years old this year. The son's gratitude towards his mother manifested in blows with a wooden cane to her back, fists to her face, and kicks to various parts of her body. It is difficult to imagine what kind of hell the mother had to live through, waiting for her drunken son to return home.

Everyone will condemn such behavior of "unfortunate children." However, when asked why this happened, the answer is always the same – if I were sober, this would not have happened. But can this be an excuse? Currently, the investigation of the aforementioned criminal cases has been completed, and soon the court will assess these actions and impose punishment.

Unfortunately, these are not isolated incidents of such behavior of children towards their parents. In most cases, parents forgive

children, even such cruel behavior. Sometimes it ends in tragedy.
