The district leadership attended a festive divine service at the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary

The Nativity of Christ is the greatest Christian holiday. It brings joy and hope, connects us to spiritual origins, national and cultural traditions, and unites us all around true Christian values. It is a great holiday symbolizing the triumph of Faith, Goodness, Love, and Mercy.

Early in the morning of the day that begins the Christmas Svyatki, before the start of the festive service in the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Chairman of the District Executive Committee Petr Belus and the Chairman of the District Council of Deputies Vera Telitsa congratulated Archpriest Mikhail Isoitko, благочинный of the Glubokoe district, and through him all the Orthodox believers of our region, on the Nativity of Christ.

Then, the leaders of our district, along with numerous parishioners at the entrance to the church, greeted Bishop Ignaty of Polotsk and Glubokoe with flowers and bread and salt.

– Esteemed Vladyka Ignaty, in these holy bright days, on behalf of myself, the District Executive Committee, and the District Council of Deputies, I congratulate you on the Nativity of Christ. I wish you the special grace that fills our hearts, goodness, and peace.

Then the ruling bishop led the festive Divine Liturgy. The hearts of believers, offering prayers to our Lord God Jesus Christ, were filled with joy.

At the conclusion of the service, Bishop Ignatiy of Polotsk and Glubokoye cordially congratulated everyone on the Nativity of Christ and imparted his archpastoral blessing.
