From March 21 to 24, the republican preventive campaign "Oncoming Lane" will be held in the Gluboksky district, aimed at preventing road accidents related to violations of overtaking rules and entering the oncoming traffic lane.

When driving, a driver must remember that a car is a means of increased danger, and not only their life, but also the lives of other road users depend solely on the driver's actions and strict adherence to traffic rules. Choosing a speed that does not correspond to road conditions and violating overtaking rules are the most frequent causes of road traffic accidents.

According to Art. 18.13 Part 9 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus, a violation by a person driving a vehicle of overtaking rules or entering the oncoming lane in cases where it is prohibited by traffic rules, entails responsibility in the form of a fine from 2 to 10 base units with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to 1 year or without deprivation. If these actions led to the creation of an emergency situation, the offender faces a fine from 5 to 20 base units with deprivation of the right to drive a vehicle for up to 2 years or without deprivation.

During the preventive measures, employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate Department of the Glubokoe District Department of Internal Affairs will work through potentially dangerous sections of republican and local roads using covert and mixed traffic control.
