Law enforcement officers will give presentations in educational institutions and work collectives of organizations. They will talk about current fraud schemes and how not to become a victim of cyber fraudsters. Individual conversations will be held with citizens on how to protect themselves and their loved ones from fraudsters, and preventive leaflets will be distributed.

The first step in protecting yourself from fraudulent encroachments is to be aware of your vulnerability. Fraudsters carefully study their victims, using information from open sources and social networks. They may pose as employees of banks, law enforcement agencies, social services, or even relatives in trouble.

Critical thinking is your main ally. Ask questions, verify information, do not give in to pressure and threats. Remember that genuine representatives of organizations will never ask for confidential data over the phone. If you are being rushed into making a decision, it is a clear sign of fraud.

Instead of immediately following the caller's instructions, terminate the conversation and contact the relevant organization yourself using official contact information. Vigilance and awareness are the best means of protection in the fight against phone fraud.
