From July 28 to August 3, the preventive campaign 'Cybersecurity Week' will be held in the Vitebsk region.

Despite a decrease in the overall level of cybercrime, the problem remains relevant and requires constant attention from law enforcement agencies.

Insufficient digital literacy and excessive trust from citizens have led to an increase in theft through modification of computer information. Vishing, phishing, and the installation of remote access applications remain the main methods of deception.

During the campaign, employees of internal affairs bodies will give presentations in work collectives and conduct methodological meetings with employees of social service centers and post offices.

The main focus will be on the elderly, aged, and single-person households. During home visits and preventive discussions, police officers will inform residents about the main methods of committing cybercrimes.
