Andrei Gavrilenko, First Deputy Head of the Vitebsk Regional Emergency Situations Department, met with the work collective of the unitary enterprise "Za Rodinu" in Gluboksky district.

A meeting between Andrei Vladimirovich and the enterprise's employees took place in the assembly hall of the unitary enterprise "Za Rodinu". During the conversation, he informed them about the operational situation with fires in the Republic, Vitebsk region, and Gluboksky district, and also spoke about the main causes of fires and fatalities.

He dwelled in detail on cases of fatalities due to alcohol abuse and smoking in bed. He touched upon the issue of child fatalities in fires, urging parents to teach children safety rules and not to leave children unattended.

— It is important to understand that education is not just a simple enumeration of rules. A child must understand why it is important to follow these rules, not just memorize them. And in this, we, adults, must definitely help them, - emphasizes Andrei Gavrilenko.

During the meeting, the Ministry of Emergency Situations Colonel returned to the topic of installing autonomous fire alarms and explained their function, how they work, where they are installed, and how to avoid disaster thanks to this device.

— Installing such alarms in houses and apartments is a simple but effective measure that can significantly reduce the risk of tragedies. As confirmation, the chief rescuer of the region cited a case of rescue, - says Andrei Vladimirovich.

Andrei Gavrilenko reminded about simple actions in case of fire and about primary fire extinguishing means. Also, in his speech, he addressed the current issue of burning dry vegetation. He spoke about what violations of fire safety rules when tidying up the adjacent territory can lead to.

At the end of the event, the Deputy Head of the Department answered all questions of interest and distributed visual aids with useful tips from the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
