Over the past two or three years, tourist flows between Russia and Belarus have been growing by 50% annually, Russian Ambassador to Belarus Boris Gryzlov said at an opening ceremony  for the international fair of tourism services Leisure 2024 in Minsk, BelTA has learned.

More than 5 million Russian tourists visited Belarus in 2023, Deputy Sports and Tourism Minister Oleg Andreichik said at a press conference timed to the 26th edition of the international tourism exhibition-fair Leisure 2024, BelTA has learned.

As of 1 April 2024, a total of 136,502 large families have opened deposit accounts in Belarus under the family capital program, including 82,600 deposit accounts to the total amount of $826 million and 53,800 deposit accounts to the total amount of Br1.36 billion, BelTA has learned from the Belarusian Labor and Social Security Ministry’s press service. 

The Days of Vietnam kicked off at the House of Friendship in Minsk on the evening of 15 April, BelTA has learned.

Natalya Kochanova has been elected Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of  Belarus of the eighth convocation, BelTA has learned.

The national air carrier Belavia has announced a promo timed to Cosmonautics Day. On 12 April a 12% discount will be available for all regular flights, the press service of the air carrier told BelTA.
