About 143 thousand people are employed in small and medium-sized businesses in Vitebsk Oblast
Entrepreneurship plays an increasing role in the economic development of regions. This explains the increased attention of the state to the creation of favorable conditions for the emancipation of business initiative. The latest innovations in legislation and mechanisms for supporting small and medium- sized businesses were discussed at a recent seminar arranged by the administration of the Oktyabrsky district of Vitebsk.
The quality and quantity of support tools for this sector of the economy have acquired particular importance in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and the new epidemic rise in seasonal infections.
