A year-long subbotnik. The Vitebsk Oblast Media Center discussed the events of the Year of Improvement

The regional plan of events for the Year of Improvement includes numerous labor campaigns and expeditions aimed at improving memorials, memorable and significant places, and greening the territories of settlements.
The repair and construction of the street and road network, parking lots, and sports and children's playgrounds will continue. Important areas include ensuring the operation of water supply systems, bringing unused land plots into economic circulation, and tidying up production facilities. The ongoing and upcoming tasks were discussed at the press conference "Improvement with an Emphasis on Quality" at the Vitebsk Region Media Center.
Improvement is a common cause that everyone should mobilize for. Only together can we create and preserve a comfortable, cozy, and beautiful living environment around us.

The month of improvement currently underway in the Vitebsk region will conclude with a republican clean-up day. The funds raised will be transferred to the construction of the National Historical Museum of Belarus.
The opening of the flag and coat of arms square in the regional center will take place as part of the celebration of the Day of the State Flag, State Coat of Arms, and State Anthem of the Republic of Belarus.
In commemoration of Orsha's nomination for the CIS honorary title "City of Labor Valor. 1941-1945," the public garden and the "Orsha - City of Labor Valor" stele will be improved.
Scheduled until December
– A plan-schedule for the improvement of significant objects in the region has been approved – at least one per month, – said Dmitry Petrusha, Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee. – It is scheduled until December. The events are aimed at greening territories, developing parks and public gardens, improving memorable places, and recreational areas – eco-trails, springs.
Thus, in the spring, a public garden in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory will be laid in Chashniki, and a park with an Alley of Memory will be established at the Glory Mound in the Gluboksky district. Hundreds of trees will be planted at the "Fifth Regiment" memorial complex in Vitebsk, and in June, a monument in memory of the victims of the genocide of the Belarusian people will be unveiled here. In May, a monument will be erected at the military burial site in the village of Paulye, Ushachsky district…
This is a basic plan, which may be supplemented with other activities during its implementation.
Vitebsk region will not be limited to the spring republican subbotnik. Throughout the year, they will be organized at all levels, from regional to district and city.
