Tokayev: Trade between Belarus and Kazakhstan is developing successfully, we are focused on further results

Belarusian Prime Minister Alexander Turchin met with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev during his official visit to Astana, a BELTA correspondent reports. The meeting discussed the prospects for trade, economic cooperation and industrial cooperation. "Alexander Genrikhovich, I am pleased to welcome you to Astana. This is your first official visit to us as head of government. We consider this visit very important given the level of cooperation between our states. Trade between our countries is developing successfully. Kazakhstan is Belarus's second trading partner (among CIS countries. - BELTA note). We have great sympathy and respect for your country, for your people, for their unique culture. Of course, the development of our relations owes a great deal to the Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko. Taking this opportunity, I would like to convey greetings and best wishes to the President of Belarus. We are set for the most positive work with corresponding results. We are interested in the successful development of cooperation continuing," said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
Alexander Turchin, in turn, conveyed the warmest wishes from Alexander Lukashenko to the President of Kazakhstan. "We in Belarus, as your friends, are closely following the development of Kazakhstan and are happy with your successes. For a long time now, your country has been demonstrating stable economic growth, and we cannot help but rejoice at your achievements," he emphasized.
