Going out on the ice is prohibited during the initial freezing period until the ice thickness reaches 7 centimeters, as well as during the period of intense melting and ice deterioration.

During ice fishing, it is not recommended to drill multiple holes in close proximity, jump or run on the ice, or gather in large groups. Each angler, when going ice fishing, is advised to have a life jacket and a rope 15-20 meters long with a loop at one end and a weight of 400-500 grams at the other.

When providing assistance to someone who has fallen through the ice, ladders, boards, poles, ropes, and other improvised means should be offered. It is important to approach the person lying down, preferably using objects that increase the support area. If there are two or more rescuers, it is best to form a chain, holding onto each other's legs.
