The exercises were successful

On March 15, as part of the "Safety Day. Attention everyone!" campaign, tactical special drills were conducted at the Glubokoye psycho-neurological boarding house for the elderly and disabled. According to the tactical plan, a fire broke out in a bedroom on the fourth floor, and as a result of the check of evacuated patients, 2 people were missing.
On March 15, as part of the "Safety Day. Attention everyone!" campaign, tactical special drills were conducted at the Glubokoye psycho-neurological boarding house for the elderly and disabled. According to the tactical plan, a fire broke out in a bedroom on the fourth floor, and as a result of the check of evacuated patients, 2 people were missing.
Although the fire area was only 8 square meters, dense smoke formed on the fourth and fifth floors, posing a threat of poisoning from combustion products to patients and staff of the boarding house. During the operation, personnel had to use respiratory protection and primary fire extinguishing means. With the participation of volunteers from the fire department, the fire alarm and the facility's notification system were activated in training mode.
The staff could not extinguish the "fire," and the combat crews of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, as well as all emergency services of the district, entered the scene. Organization employees not involved in rescue operations were immediately evacuated from the emergency zone. The scene of the emergency was cordoned off with the assistance of police officers.
The personnel of the first combat crew of the Glubokoye fire station were the first to begin extinguishing the fire. The second crew deployed a hose line for extinguishing from the rear of the building using a fire truck ladder, thereby localizing the fire. Within 2 minutes, the first victim remaining in the smoke-filled building was found, and within 1 minute – the second. The victims were evacuated and handed over to the ambulance crew, which arrived at the drills according to the interaction plan.
During the drills, a number of important issues aimed at successfully eliminating the consequences were worked out, as a result of which all goals and objectives were successfully achieved and implemented. For example, the electrical service of the boarding house worked out
emergency power outage, gas service – disconnection of natural gas supply to the facility. After the completion of all conditional combat actions, all participants of the exercises were evaluated, and errors were analyzed not only in the correctness and tactics of extinguishing fires at the specified facilities, but also in compliance with safety regulations.
Conducting tactical special exercises is extremely necessary in everyday life, as thanks to such exercises, the district emergency services and facility personnel learn to act in a coordinated and clear manner, and in the event of a real emergency, facility representatives will act without panic, according to algorithms and instructions.
