The exercises were successful

Tactical special exercises were conducted at the Glubokoye psycho-neurological boarding house for the elderly and disabled. According to the tactical scenario, a fire broke out in a dormitory room on the fourth floor, and according to the results of the check, 2 patients were missing among the evacuated.

Although the fire area was only 8 square meters, dense smoke formed on the fourth and fifth floors, posing a threat of poisoning from combustion products to patients and staff of the boarding house. During the operation, personnel had to use respiratory protection and primary firefighting equipment. With the participation of volunteers from the fire department, the facility's fire alarm and notification system were activated in training mode.

The staff could not extinguish the "fire," and the combat crews of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, as well as all emergency services of the district, entered the scene. Organization employees not involved in emergency rescue operations were immediately evacuated from the emergency zone. The emergency site was cordoned off with the assistance of police officers.

The personnel of the first combat crew of the Glubokoye fire station were the first to begin extinguishing the fire. The second crew deployed a hose line to extinguish the fire from the rear of the building using a turntable ladder, thereby containing the fire. Two minutes later, the first victim remaining in the smoke-filled building was found, and one minute later – the second. The victims were evacuated and handed over to the ambulance crew, which arrived at the exercises according to the interaction plan.

During the exercises, a number of important issues aimed at the successful elimination of consequences were worked out, as a result of which all goals and objectives were successfully achieved and implemented. For example, the boarding house's electrical service practiced prompt power disconnection, and the gas service practiced gas supply disconnection.

After the completion of all conditional combat operations, all participants of the exercises were evaluated, and mistakes were analyzed not only in the correctness and tactics of extinguishing fires at the specified facilities, but also in compliance with safety regulations.

Conducting tactical special exercises is extremely necessary in everyday life, as thanks to such exercises, the district's emergency services and the facility's personnel learn to act in a coordinated and clear manner, and in the event of a real emergency, the facility's representatives will act without panic, according to algorithms and instructions.
