Udzelauka village council received the baton of the marathon "Glubochchyna: 85 Years of History and Achievements"

The event was attended by honored guests including Vera Telitsa, Chairperson of the District Council of Deputies; Tatyana Tarasevich, Deputy Chairperson of the District Executive Committee; Lyudmila Karnilovich, Head of the Department of Ideological Work and Youth Affairs of the District Executive Committee; Tatyana Matyushonok, Head of the Culture Sector of the District Executive Committee; Viktor Karman, Chairperson of the Udelovsky Rural Executive Committee; Yuzefa Budko, an elder of the agro-town Udelo, who worked in the medical field for 30 years; and Anna Glembovskaya, a former teacher with 42 years of experience, who transformed her parental home into a mini-museum, preserving for future generations the spirit of our grandfathers and fathers, the way of Belarusian life, family culture, and history.

Participants in the festive event also included representatives of the agricultural enterprise "Za Rodinu," students and teachers of Udelovskaya and Merechkovskaya schools, and residents of the agro-town.

Alexander Khaynovsky, senior researcher at the Glubokoye Historical and Ethnographic Museum, spoke about the most important and significant events that have taken place in the district over the past 85 years.

Then, Anna Glembovskaya shared her personal story, her work, and her beloved hobby – replenishing the funds of her family museum and organizing meetings of former fellow villagers. Anna Adamovna expressed her gratitude to the District Executive Committee and the specialists of the departments and services who came up with such an interesting idea for the jubilee marathon and provided an opportunity for villagers to learn new and interesting things, enjoy cultural leisure, and express themselves.

Yuzefa Ivanovna Budko, although associated with the medical field, turned out to be a poet at heart and wrote a whole mini-poem about life in the agro-town Udelo.

A panel depicting the Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary in the agro-town of Udalo was presented by the Chairman of the Udalo Village Executive Committee, Viktor Karman, along with Elena Zgirskaya, a master of embroidery and patchwork from the folk arts and crafts studio "Krinitsa".

Vera Mikhailovna thanked the residents of the agro-town for their labor and creativity for the benefit of their small homeland and wished all those present health, inexhaustible energy, diligence, well-deserved respect, and honor.

A concert prepared by artists from the Udalo Center of Culture and students from the Udalo branch of the Glubokoye Children's Art School became a gift for all participants of the event.
