Belarus has put forward amendments to the Code on Architectural, Urban Planning and Construction Activities for discussion

The Ministry of Architecture and Construction of Belarus proposes to discuss draft amendments to the Code on Architectural, Urban Planning, and Construction Activities, BELTA reports, citing the National Legal Internet Portal.
In particular, the terms "landscaping," "distribution transport infrastructure," and "distribution engineering infrastructure" are clarified. In architectural activities, the possibility of creating and using design documentation in the form of drawings, models, texts, and images as copyright objects will appear.
For general and detailed urban planning projects, a unified norm is introduced to include information about archaeological sites, military burials, and burials of war victims in settlements and suburban areas. In addition, the Government of Belarus is to be granted powers to regulate legal relations for the settlement of citizens in rental housing, and the Ministry of Architecture and Construction will be assigned the function of the customer for the development of master plans for settlements with a population of over 20,000 people and agro-towns.
The requirement to prepare and issue certificates of conformity and qualification certificates on forms with a certain degree of protection to interested parties is being abolished.
