Dzyanarodny Unity Day was celebrated in Hlybokaye

The patriotic event "If We Are United," dedicated to the Day of National Unity, brought together the district leadership, representatives of political parties and public associations, members of labor collectives of the district, and youth in the square on September 17 in Glubokoye.

Petr Belus, Chairman of the Glubokoye District Executive Committee, congratulated the participants of the patriotic event on the Day of National Unity:

– The state holiday, the Day of National Unity, is dedicated to the reunification of Western and Eastern Belarus in 1939. More than eight decades have passed, but the memory of this event lives in the hearts of Belarusians because it was an act of historical justice for the Belarusian people.

May this holiday serve as another reminder of the importance of maintaining peace and harmony in our common home – the Republic of Belarus. May each day bring us new achievements, and may the unity of our people grow even stronger.

I wish everyone good health, well-being, and peaceful skies above!

May Glubokoye district prosper, and may the unity of our people be strengthened! – said the head of the district.

Marina Sulimova, a history teacher at the Prozorokskaya Secondary School of Glubokoye District named after I.T. Buinitsky, conducted a historical excursion for the participants of the patriotic event about the reunification of Glubokoye district with the territory of the BSSR.

Anton Zhdanovich, Chairman of the Glubokoye District Public Association "Belarusian Union of Veterans of the War in Afghanistan," addressed the attendees with a welcoming speech on behalf of civil society.

Following the official ceremony, the participants of the event proceeded in a procession to the Glubokoye City House of Culture, where the festive concert "We are together! We are united!" took place. The concert marked a vibrant conclusion to the large-scale patriotic event held in the city. The concert brought together representatives of labor collectives, public organizations, youth associations, and local authorities. The artists' performances became a symbol of national unity and the aspiration for peaceful development of the country.
