A solemn ceremony of taking the oath by the cadets of the military-patriotic club «Severny» was held in Glubokoye

Today, as the country celebrates the universally beloved holiday – Defender of the Fatherland and Armed Forces Day of the Republic of Belarus, a solemn ceremony of taking the oath by the cadets of the military-patriotic club "Severny" was held in Glubokoye, in Victory Park, at the mass grave of soldiers and partisans who fell during the liberation of Glubokoye in July 1944.

Among the honored guests of the festive event were the head of the district, Chairman of the District Executive Committee Petr Belus, Chairman of the District Council of Deputies Vera Telitsa, Deputy Chairman of the District Executive Committee Tatyana Tarasevich, representatives of enterprises and institutions of the city, public organizations, and parents of the students.

This is a particularly memorable event for 25 young men and women who joined the ranks of the young army at the 2nd separate rifle battalion of military unit 5524. The Chairman of the Glubokoye District Executive Committee, Petr Belus, warmly and sincerely welcomed them.

– Dear young friends, today you are taking the oath not as a formality, but as a promise. A promise to be worthy of the memory of the heroes who defended our freedom. A promise to preserve the traditions of military valor. A promise to become a reliable support for your family, your district, and all of our Belarus in the future, – noted Petr Kazimirovich in his welcoming address to the young patriots. – I want to express my sincere gratitude to the club leaders for their selfless work and dedication to patriotic education, to the veterans for their wisdom and mentorship, to the parents for their support and for instilling high moral qualities in children, and to the teachers for helping the young people grow into determined and responsible individuals.

I wish you, young friends, good health, perseverance in achieving your goals, wisdom, and courage. Be worthy citizens of your country, continue the glorious traditions of the Belarusian soldiery. Serve honestly, dream boldly, and always remember: our district, our country believe in you!

Sergey Krasnodubsky, Military Commissar of Gluboksky and Sharkovshchinsky Districts, addressed the cadets of the "Severny" military-patriotic club with his best wishes.

Then came the most exciting moment – taking the oath.

The oath-promise to be loyal to the Motherland, observe discipline, and prepare for the defense of the Fatherland was taken from young patriots by honored guests of the solemn event: Chairman of the District Executive Committee Petr Belus, Military Commissar of Gluboksky and Sharkovshchinsky Districts Sergey Krasnodubsky, Chairman of the District Organization of the Public Association "Belarusian Union of Officers" Alexander Alekhnovich, Chairman of the District Organization of the Public Association "Belarusian Union of War Veterans of Afghanistan" Anton Zhdanovich, and Deputy Commander of the 2nd Separate Rifle Battalion for Ideological Work Dmitry Gridushko.

Dmitry Iosifovich congratulated the children on a special festive day in their lives and announced that for successful completion of the initial military training program, exemplary discipline, active participation in the club's activities, reasonable initiative, diligence, and effort shown in daily activities, the trainees Daniil Lavrinovich, Gleb Batseko, Artyom Skorokhodov, and Andrey Fominsky have been awarded the special military rank of junior sergeant for the benefit of the "Severny" military-patriotic club.

Also, for winning as part of the "Severny" military-patriotic club team in ski competitions, Andrey Fominsky, Daniil Lavrinovich, Evelina Sosnovskaya, and Gleb Batseko were awarded the "Ready for Special Forces" badge of the I degree.

For successes in studying military affairs and implementing a number of social projects, active participation in volunteer initiatives, Chairman of the District Executive Committee Petr Belus presented valuable gifts to the trainees of the "Severny" military-patriotic club Sergey Irchits, Alexandra Parakhonko, Nikita Mikulsky, Alisa Zakharova, and Kirill Apetenok.

Participants of the ceremony observed a minute of silence, bowing their heads in memory of the feat of soldiers and partisans who perished in the fierce battle with the German fascist invaders. In tribute and profound gratitude to all who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of our Motherland, fresh flowers were laid at the foot of the monument on the mass grave.
