A festive concert dedicated to the Defender of the Fatherland and Armed Forces Day of the Republic of Belarus was held in Glubokoye

The festive concert "Happy Holiday of Courage, Glory and Strength!", dedicated to the Day of Defenders of the Fatherland and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, was held today at the city House of Culture.

The honorable guests and participants of the event were the Chairman of the Glubokoye District Executive Committee Petr Belus, the Chairman of the District Council of Deputies Vera Telitsa, the Deputy Chairman of the District Executive Committee Tatyana Tarasevich, the Military Commissar of the Glubokoye and Sharkovshchina districts Sergey Krasnodubsky, heads of departments, administrations and services of the District Executive Committee, heads and representatives of enterprises, public and trade union organizations, law enforcement agencies of the district, veterans of labor and war in Afghanistan, servicemen of military unit 5524 and the military-patriotic club "Severny", which celebrates its third anniversary this year, the creative intelligentsia of Glubokoye region, mothers of servicemen, and residents of Glubokoye.

The Chairman of the Glubokoye District Executive Committee Petr Belus addressed the attendees with a welcoming speech:

– Dear defenders, veterans of military service, home front workers, esteemed residents of Gluboksky District! On behalf of the Gluboksky District Executive Committee, the District Council of Deputies, and myself, I congratulate you on the Defender of the Fatherland and Armed Forces Day of the Republic of Belarus! This holiday is not just a date on the calendar. It is a tribute of deep respect to all who, in different eras, stood and continue to stand guard over our independence, who protect the peace and tranquility of our native land. Patriotism is what unites us all. It lives in the memory of a heroic past, in loyalty to traditions, in the readiness to stand up at any moment to defend one's family, one's region, one's country. And today, we proudly see that the younger generation is worthily continuing the work of their grandfathers and fathers. Young officers, conscripts, cadets of military-patriotic clubs – all of them are a reliable support of the Belarusian army and a guarantor of our state's security.

I want to emphasize that the strength of our people lies in unity. In all times, women, alongside men, bravely defended the Motherland. They were nurses on the battlefields, partisans in the forests, workers in the rear, providing the front with everything necessary. Their resilience, selflessness, and wisdom have repeatedly become a decisive factor in victory.

It is symbolic that 2026 has been declared the Year of Belarusian Women by the Head of State, Alexander Lukashenko. This is an acknowledgment of the invaluable contribution of women to the development of our country, both in peacetime and during severe trials. This year is another reminder that heroism knows no gender. Courage, loyalty to duty, and love for the Motherland have always been and remain qualities inherent to all Belarusians – both men and women.

Today we honor the veterans who have given us a peaceful sky, the servicemen performing their duties in the Armed Forces and Border Troops, the law enforcement officers ensuring law and order, the workers of the defense industry, and the educators and mentors who instill patriotism in the youth.

Dear participants of the solemn event! May pride for Belarus, the country we love and are ready to defend, always live in our hearts. May the unity of our people grow stronger, and may the traditions of heroism and selflessness be passed down from generation to generation. I wish you good health, well-being, confidence in the future, and new achievements for the prosperity of our beloved Belarus! Happy holiday! Then, Petr Kazimirovich presented Letters of Appreciation from the Chairman of the Glubokoe District Executive Committee for conscientious work, professionalism, and exemplary performance of official duties to Police Warrant Officer Anastasia Valyushkina, Head of Sector of the Glubokoe Inter-district Enforcement Department Anastasia Kozel, Head of Staff of the Glubokoe Department of Internal Affairs Anna Romanovskaya, Psychologist of the 2nd Separate Rifle Battalion Military Unit 5524 Olga Burtyl, Head of the Ideological Work and Personnel Support Department of Correctional Facility No. 13 Natalia Solodkaya, and Senior Inspector of Ideological Work and Personnel Support of the Glubokoe District Department for Emergency Situations Oksana Glinskaya.

In honor of the third anniversary of the establishment of the "Severny" military-patriotic club, the Deputy Commander of Military Unit 5524 for Ideological Work, Roman Poleshchuk, awarded the most active, athletic, physically fit, and creative students.

Artyom Skorokhodov was awarded a breastplate, and Daniil Korol, Ekaterina Shevchenok, Arina Pleskachevskaya, Anastasia Shinkevich, and Daniil Struchkov received commendations from the commander of military unit 5524.

Roman Polishchuk presented valuable gifts from the Main Directorate of the Commander of Internal Troops to Gleb Batseko, Daniil Lavrinovich, Artyom Skorokhodov, and Andrey Fominsky. Certificates from the "Molodaya Gvardiya" charitable foundation were awarded to Arina Pleskachevskaya, Fyodor Golderbayn, Alexandra Rudak, and Evelina Sosnovskaya.

A demonstration program at the celebration was presented by the honor guard platoon of the Pre-conscription Training Center, led by Ivan Abramchik.

Musical congratulations for Defender of the Fatherland and Armed Forces Day of the Republic of Belarus were presented to the attendees by creative groups from Glubokoye: duets, trios, quartets, soloists, and dance and vocal ensembles.
